2025 in 2025 Connection Project
2025 Minutes. 365 People.
Endless Possibilities.
Will You Join Me?
(Please?)
I’m challenging myself to 2025 minutes of mini-connections in 2025. That’s 365 different people I get to talk with!
Want to be part of the fun?
Welcome! I’m Lorine, and I have a not-so-secret love affair with nurturing human connection. I love learning about and supporting other people through conversation. I’m also a big time introvert, and often find myself hunkering down into my blanket laden cocoon instead of reaching out and sharing those moments of connection myself.
On December 30, 2024, I was in the watery wonder that is a shower and was struck by a realization.
“Lori, it’s time to emerge. In 2025, you are going to create daily mini-connections because while alone time recharges you, too much of it is hurting your physical and mental health. Lori, in 2025 you are going to have a daily connection with 365 different people.”
”Um… excuse me, self?”
”You heard me! Now let’s figure it out!”
And so here we are! But where exactly is that?
The Basics
Why are you doing this?
Why not? In a world that often feels busy and disconnected, I want to create a year full of meaningful, memorable moments with others. Human connections are an oft overlooked and undervalued part of physical and mental health. I’m hoping our mini-connections inspire “connection ripples” way beyond our time together.
What is this?
The 2025 in 2025 Connection Project is my personal challenge to have a daily 5 to 10 minute intentional conversation with 365 different people throughout the year. That’s at least 2025 minutes of connection! If you’re local or we’re in the same area, we can even meet up in person.
How will this work?
We’ll chat for a few minutes—about life, favorite things, or anything fun or meaningful. There aren’t a lot of rules here. I’ll bring a question or two to keep it interesting. It’s that simple!
There’s no pressure, no sales pitch, and no hidden agenda. This is purely for fun and sharing a few minutes of connection with people who share my playfulness and curiosity. Is that you?
Common Questions
-
I am a women who loves connection and recognizes my own need to be more intentional about “getting out there” and meeting/reconnecting with more people.
I’m not famous and I’m not looking for fame.
I love the idea of “connection ripples” and that our conversation may inspire you toward more intentional connections. The world needs more authentic connection!
Or maybe it won’t! That’s okay, too.
You can learn more about me here. There will NOT be a quiz!
-
Oh, I’ve been there. People I never hear from suddenly reaching out to “catch up” and then tell me about how we should work together. Live calls and webinars with “all this great, free info” which of course are sales calls.
This IS NOT THAT. In fact, this is a personal project and isn’t related to my business. Yes, this webpage is on my business page because that’s an easy place to put it. But this isn’t a business event.
In fact, my hope and desire are that we won’t talk about work at all! There is so much of that in the world. I’d rather talk about who we are than what we do.
I promise not to try to sell you anything. For real. Nothing connected about the bait & switch!
-
I get it. There’s a lot going on in life and you’re busy with work, friends, family, and time for yourself. The idea is for this to feel fun and easy, not like some dreaded duty.
Each mini-connection chat will last about 5-10 minutes (scheduled for 15). If we’re having a great time and it works for us both, we can chat for longer. The key is that we are both present and intentional in our time together- whether that’s a 10 minute chat or an hour lunch.
My goal is to have at least 2025 total minutes of intentional connection conversations in the year 2025. That comes out to 5.54794520548 minutes with someone each day of the 365 days of the year. That’s it! Pretty incredible how quickly it adds up. -
Fear not. This is a conversation, not an interview. I won’t pepper you with questions and not participate. The intention is for things for be a bit more personal than “How about that weather?” but not “Tell me your deepest secrets.” There’s no pressure and honestly, not a lot of rules!
-
I have a long history of being a phone talker, sometimes for hours! I’m pretty sure I got that from my mom.
And for this project, I am requesting video or in-person and avoiding phone talk Why? Because seeing others and non-verbal communication is a vital part of meaningful connections. The research supports it! Plus, seeing each other will help us both stay more present and less distracted. Multi-tasking doesn’t promote meaningful connection.
So please, consider connecting with me via video or in-person. I promise I don’t care how you look, if you showered, if you’re in your jammies, or anything else. Thanks!

Nope. This project isn’t about blogging or sharing, it’s about a few minutes of intentional time with another human. It’s about an “in person” mini-connection in a world where so much communication is taking place via text, messages, social media posts, and email.
While we may not get the opportunity to be in the same physical space, we can at least see each other on video and spend some focused time together.
I won’t share any of your information without your consent. It’s possible I’ll write some updates along the way, and I will never share your personal info or stories without your explicit permission. You have my word! -
Yes! Please do share this with other people! I am looking for people of all ages, including kids and older generations.
Have a parent that’s kind of lonely and would love to chat? I’m here for it. Have a kid who likes to talk to adults? Talking with kids is a personal favorite for me— so much insight!
I’m happy to talk with anyone with whom we can find a way to communicate. While English is my primary language, I’m willing to explore ways to connect with people for whom English isn’t the primary language. Why should be connection be limited that way? I can’t promise perfection, and I can promise to do my best!
So yes, please share about this project! While I’m not interested in “going viral,” I am interested in diversity and your support and sharing can really help.

Here’s how it works-
Open the scheduling link and choose a DATE that works for you. You’ll notice there is only one time listed per day. That’s because I can’t offer a date without a time attached.
The listed time DOES NOT need to be the time we chat. When you choose a date & time, that reserves that day for us.
Once you sign up, I will email you directly and we can confirm a time that works for both of us. Please note your preferred time in the form you’ll fill out. (It’s short and easy)
We will meet via video or possible in -person if we are in the same physical area. A Zoom link will be sent in your confirmation email.
If you don’t see a date listed, it means that day is already scheduled with someone. If you can only meet at a particular time or day, please reach out and let me know! -
Nothing! The only request is that we meet at a time, and that you’re in a place, where you can focus and be present.
That means not chatting when you’re driving. Safety first!
Other than that, bring your sense of fun and curiosity.
That’s it.

I get it. So many “freebies” and “connections” are thinly veiled attempts to get you to buy something. While I run a business, this isn’t about my business or selling you anything.
This is not a coaching call.
This is not a call to talk about your aches and pains and “pick my brain.”
This is a chat with two humans just being human and having a consensual, intentional few minutes of conversation.
That’s it. Not ulterior motives at all.
-
I’ll be sharing bits and pieces along the way (never your personal info or conversations) in my Substack “Life Connected.”
I share about all kinds of things there!
You can subscribe for free if you’d like to follow along. If you enjoy it, there are payment options and payment is NOT required to read my pieces at this point.
That said, if you’d like to support me, I will gratefully accept. While voluntary and self-initiated, this project is taking a good bit of time and energy. And it’s completely worth it to me!

I’m working on answering more questions. What else would you like to know about my 2025 in 2025 Connection Project? Let me know so I can share with you!
